Wall Street Set For Best Two Years Ever, Thanks To Bailout

This is unbelievable, many trillions of dollars in aid offered to these guys with no stipulation or requirement that they use that money to help stabilize the economy or create jobs. Instead they use it to give themselves bonuses and raises. And then the government has the gall to say "they paid us back" when all they did was sell the US Owned shares at the inflated pyramid scheme prices, price raises created only by the government bailout. Wall Street didn't do anything to earn any of this money!!!

What a disappointment Obama turned out to be. I voted for that guy too, and as soon as he took office he just handed over all our money on the supply side with no guidelines or stipulations. I hated Bush, and say what you will about him, but I honestly don't think he would've handed over that much money to them to just so obviously pad the supply side pockets the way Obama did....almost as if he was offering that up to them to say "Here, like me..."

The first DECADE of the new Century went by devoid of any cultural significance...

Usually at the end of each decade there is a monumental New Years Celebration and a feeling left behind of what life was like in the recently passing decade.

It certainly was that way from the 70's into the 80's. From the 80's into the 90's, and from the 90's into the 00's.

All had sort of monumental decade ending feelings of nostalgia...

But I just realized  that the first decade of the new century, the 00's ended LAST year at the end of 2009. The first decade of the new century ended without any sort of fanfare or remembrance besides being the worst financial collapse in the country's history and a time of paranoid war on terror and loss of civil rights.

Where as we had specific styles of music and clothing and automobiles in all of the previous decades I mentioned, there is nothing notable that happened in this first decade and I guess it will be forever remembered as the decade of Reality Television, War on Terror, and Financial disgrace for this country, and largely the world.

Whatever it will be remembered for, it certainly was devoid of any cultural significance whatsoever.

Good riddance, only I fear that this next decade wont be any better, it'll probably be known as the decade of Twitter, Facebook, Plutocracy, and hopefully, civil unrest to the point of revolution...

The American People slept right through the passing of 10 years...

This is truly a state of sleep...

Kim Kardashian is so insecure...

She is so pathetically insecure that she can not remain single for one day before she moves onto a new guy....either that or she is the biggest whore in town...

Take your pick Kim...

Who's Done More Damage, Bernard Madoff or Alan Greenspan?

The blame lies with Greenspan and the U.S. government who marketed these very home purchases and luxury items to the people that could not afford them. If people could not afford them like they couldn't BEFORE Greenspan, they would not have been able to purchase them. But Greenspan and the U.S. Government made them available to people who couldn't afford them for a reason, and that was to make money for themselves.

There's a reason we prosecute drug dealers harsher than we prosecute drug users, the dealers are by far more despicable making personal profits off of other peoples wants, desires, and misery. Its the same thing here, Greenspan and the U.S. Government were the dealers of this bad economy and crisis. Sure the irresponsible Americans should have abstained, but once the Government and the Fed got them hooked through "Free Money" policies, the rest is, as they say, sordid history.

There is a nice seat in hell waiting for Greenspan and his oddly shaped head...

Don't sleep.

Greenberg - the movie with Ben Stiller

I watched that tonight and felt a bit as though I was awkwardly similar to Ben Stiller's character Roger Greenberg...not necessarily in lifestyle but there were for sure some similarities...

It was a decent movie though, better than much of the proverbial crap that Hollywood churns out these days.

The movie was filmed in Hollywood but not made by Hollywood, there in lies the paradox.

Battle Heats Up Between Police Officers And Civilians Who Record Them

it's only ok for them to tape us...P.K. DIck said in the 70's that "one day everything you do will be videotaped." and if Orwell was alive he would kill himself...

every great civilization was at its peak when it started to crumble. America peaked several years ago and all the signs are there of history repeating itself....

Most in ancient Rome never could have fathomed it either.

its coming.

Espionage Act: How the Government Can Engage in Serious Aggression Against the People of the United States

A great article. The American Government couldn't be any less for "The People", but instead 100% about service to the wealth. It has been a Plutocracy since Reagan, and has gotten worse year by year as supply side economics have run their course. Now its all about feeding the poor to the rich, quite literally. The rich cry "Socialism" if you talk about healthcare for all, but when it comes to government bailout loans and free money, they are all for it.

What's worse is the elected officials in this country are allowed to personally profit from the policies and laws they write, and dissenting opinions get in the way. America has failed, what was at once a proud country has devolved into a glorified banana republic only instead of bananas our entire GDP is made up of printed phony currency and inflated stock markets (Pyramid Schemes)....

and yet the American People seem to be sleeping right through it.

Obama-Clinton Briefing: Former President Endorses Tax Cut Deal (VIDEO)

This is laughable. Obama had to dig a former president out of the crypt to handle the political pressure he is incapable of handling on his own.

I voted for Obama, and since then it has been like watching a wet napkin try to stand on its end.

The guy is a jellyfish...

White House Privately Pushing Data Showing Bush Tax Cut Extension Politically Popular

Obama said two weeks ago that Americans do NOT want this. Then he caves and the white house releases this statement of propaganda.

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/12/bloomberg-poll-americans-dont-want-to-extend-tax-cuts-for-wealthy.php

Thats a link to several major polls that all say the opposite of what the white house is saying. Obama himself said the opposite until he changed his position for some reason. How can the government continue to lie to the American people the way they do? Its an obvious plutocracy and the American people need to realize that, get educated to what's going on and act.

I guess they just surveyed the top 1%...unfortunately they other 99% is getting screwed...

(By the way, they are trying to quietly slip it past the American People by asking them if they want "Their own taxes to go up"...meaning that they are posing the question saying that if we eliminate tax cuts for wealthy we are going to eliminate them for the working class too. So the loaded question then becomes "Would you like YOUR taxes to go up???" But Americans are too smart to fall for that...aren't they???)
